The APP (Agency for the Protection of Programs) is  a European organization for the defense of authors and publishers of digital works

Registering software provides proof of the authorship of the development and of its anteriority, and also enables a version to be dated and recorded, for example before it is put into FLOSS, or before the software is loaned/given away/sold.

The knowledge database on the APP website contains quite a lot of information on the legal aspects of software in particular, but also databases.
