The HAL UGA office and the Codes Data Grenoble Alpes (CDGA) Office offer the community a range of practical services tailored to the needs of researchers throughout the research project lifecycle.
Both teams provide on request:
- support for researchers in identifying the appropriate tools and resources for managing publications, data and codes, according to their working context,
- assistance with the dissemination of publications and data (submitting to HAL, checking the compatibility of journals with Plan S, identifying an appropriate repository for data dissemination),
- information on the law applicable to open access publications and data and code management (intellectual property, publishing contracts, compliance with the GDPR),
- awareness-raising workshops or training courses.
It is possible to request an individual or group appointment with the teams via the support addresses.
For project leaders
UGA support teams offer personalised assistance throughout the project lifecycle. It is also possible to seek their assistance during the project preparation phase, prior to submitting applications.
For publications, assistance is available for depositing in HAL (personalised instructions, creation of a project-specific collection) and for editing publication lists.
For data, assistance with drafting a data management plan and implementing FAIR data management is offered throughout the data and project lifecycle
Publish your thesis
The dissemination of a thesis can raise several important questions: what dissemination options are available to PhD graduates? What are the challenges, benefits and constraints involved? What specific legal issues arise for PhD students? Is it possible to reuse an article published in one’s thesis, and under what conditions?
The thesis reporting and service and support for doctoral students assists doctoral students with all aspects of disseminating their theses and offers a range of resources and tools. Specific training courses are organised for doctoral students.
